peter & lori: i do

i first met with peter and lori in the winter months-we met for coffee and talked about their summer wedding-which seemed so long ago at the time! july 9, 2010 has come and gone and i feel privileged to have met lori and peter and to be asked to document their wedding day. with every booking i like to do an engagement session and we met back in may for peter and lori's e-session in niagara falls. this is lori's home town so we thought we'd show peter around. their wedding was also celebrated in niagara and we started our day at the hilton in the presidential suite, with a perfect view of the falls, and later we'd celebrate at legends on the niagara golf course.

i love to photograph details-the dress, the shoes, the flowers- and that is usually how i start off the wedding day...

lori's mom and dad live in the falls in the home where lori grew up and we stopped there so mom and dad could visit before the ceremony.

all the while peter is counting down the minutes until the his bride arrives : )

is there a more special moment for a father and his daughter...?

the ceremony went off without a hitch... and on to a little golfing...both being avid golfers... it's arguable who is the better golfer- the venue only seemed fitting.

and they had the most handsome little caddy...

i love how perfect this cake was for the bride and groom! so perfect. made by the happy baker.

up next... dinner, toasts and....

a little dancing: spirit of sound did a fabulous job in getting everyone out to participate! after peter and lori shared their first dance of course:

oh and table #9... you thought i'd forget about you- right. although... this is a kid friendly blog so i can't comment on much of our conversation that evening but i can... thank you for the entertainment-it was wonderful to meet you.

peter and lori live and work in ottawa so for many this was a little destination wedding-we do hope you enjoyed your time in niagara!
